For nearly a year, sculptor-in-residence Bryan Rapp and his team have been pouring bronze to create the pieces that will come together to make the 12-foot tall sculpture dubbed "The Chanticleer."

Recently, the final bronze pours took place, marking a transition in the project. At the same time, a local woman paid tribute to her deceased father by donating a bronze placard to use in the construction of the sculpture.

"The Chanticleer" is the second bronze sculpture that CCU faculty and students have designed and forged right here on campus. "Chauncey" stands at the entrance to the TD Sports Complex. "The Chanticleer" will stand at the S.C. 544 entrance to Brooks Stadium.
