United Nations Youth Corps at CCU still focused on "making the world a better place"

Students who are a part of the United Nations Georgetown R.I.S.E. Youth Corps continue to be active.

Students who are a part of the United Nations Georgetown R.I.S.E. Youth Corps continue to be active. The group is holding weekly, virtual meetings, which often include guests, and almost 20 of them are completing internships in Georgetown County, either virtually or in person.

Members of the group are focused on sustainability and are guided by the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.

Georgetown RISE was founded in 2017 as a United Nations Regional Center of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development. RISE stands for resilience, innovation, sustainability, and education. Learn more at coastal.edu/georgetownrise or georgetownrise.org.
