For the first time ever, incoming students in Coastal Carolina University’s LIFE program went through their own on-campus orientation. The LIFE program is a four-year, residential collegiate experience for young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. At the end of the four years, the goal is for the students to be able to live independently and gain meaningful employment. It’s one of the most unique programs of its kind in the country.
