CCU announces Vax to the Max scholarship, reserved parking winners

This week's Vax to the Max scholarship winners include Alice Boswell Brown, Kali Goldman, and Amanda Owens.Eight students were awarded Spring 2022 reserved parking spaces for their participation in the Vax to the Max incentives program.

Coastal Carolina University announced the latest scholarship winners of its Vax to the Max incentives program today. CCU has given out $90,000 in scholarships through the incentives program this semester.

Week nine winners are:

• Alice Boswell Brown, a freshman management major from Pickens, S.C.

• Hunter Collier, a freshman biology major from Bear, Del.

• Kali Goldman, a sophomore psychology major from Severn, Md.

• Amanda Owens, a senior biochemistry major from Myrtle Beach, S.C.

CCU also announced the winners of eight Spring 2022 reserved parking spaces:

• Gracie Edmonds, a sophomore middle grades education major from Islip Terrace, N.Y.

• Lauren Gibson, a senior public health major from Little River, S.C.

• Sarah Gilbert, a sophomore communication major from Charlotte, N.C.

• Meredith Marcum, a sophomore marine science major from Strongsville, Ohio.

• Marisol Mendoza Heredia, a junior marine science major from Myrtle Beach, S.C.

• Nora Mouer, a junior marine science major from Mechanicsville, Va.

• Briar Ownby-Connolly, a senior marine science major from Williamsburg, Va.

• Amanda Simonson, a junior management major from Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The fall semester’s final four Vax to the Max incentives $2,500 scholarship winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 3; and the first winner of the Grand Prize Scholarship – full tuition, room, and board for one semester at CCU – will be announced on Monday, Dec. 6. The scholarship program will resume in Spring 2022 for 10 weeks.

Students are encouraged to get vaccinated and upload their vaccination records for a chance to win. Students who would like to get vaccinated at Student Health Services on campus are asked to make an appointment online or call 843-349-6543. Conway Medical Center (CMC) offers the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in the Lib Jackson Student Union Commuter Lounge (Room A107) every Thursday from 2-4 p.m. Simply walk in and get a free vaccine. Appointments cannot be made. Individuals attending this clinic are asked to complete the CMC COVID-19 vaccination form and bring it with them. To find an off-campus vaccine provider, click here.

Students who are already fully vaccinated are also eligible to participate in the vaccination incentives program.
