Ethnic dancing, music to be featured at Cultural Celebration

A Cultural Celebration featuring ethnic entertainment is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Prince Lawn at Coastal Carolina University.

The 12th annual festival is free and open to the public. Food and merchandise will be offered for sale. In case of rain, the Cultural Celebration will take place on April 9 at the same times. For more information, contact Coastal's Office of Multicultural Student Services at 349-2863.

Here is the tentative schedule for the day's events:

11:30-11:45 a.m.
Caribbean Steel Drums
- 11:45 a.m. to noon
Spanish Club skit
- Noon to 12:30 p.m.
Irish Celtic Band
- 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Gootmon Sauerkraut Band
- 1 to 1:15 p.m.
African Drumming & Dance Ensemble
- 1:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Taiko Drum Ensemble, Conway Elementary
- 1:30 to 1:45 p.m.
Myrtle Beach Regional Pipe Band
- 1:45 to 2 p.m.
Caribbean Steel Drum Band
- 2 to 2:10 p.m.
Coastal Carolina University Dance Team
- 2:10 to 2:30 p.m.
Irish Celtic Band
- 2:30 to 3 p.m.
Gootmon Sauerkraut Band
