AGI Supersting Marine Continuous Resistivity Profiling System

AGI Supersting Marine Continuous Resistivity Profiling System

This unit includes a dual 6- and 12-meter electrode streamer. The resistivity meter is used in groundwater studies and is capable of measuring the bulk resistivity of sub-bottom sediments. This physical property is directly related to salinity of the pore waters.

Chirp Sonar

Chirp Sonar

Chirp sonar systems use acoustic energy to enable high-resolution mapping of sediments beneath the surface of the ocean floor.

Side Scan Sonar

Side Scan Sonar

Side Scan Sonar uses backscattered acoustic energy received from the ocean bottom to image the sea floor. It is a way to “look” at the ocean floor without sending a person.

Multibeam Sonar

Multibeam Sonar

Multibeam sonar uses acoustic energy to collect high resolution measurements of the depth and character of the ocean floor.

Buoys

Our bouys are mounted with the following environmental monitoring sensors: anemometer, weather pak, CTD-surface, CTD-bottom, fluorometer and ADCP.
