Configure Computer to Access Wireless

Directions for Windows 7 or 10
  1. Ensure that your Wireless card is installed and turned on.
  2. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, click on the Network icon (looks like a set of stairs).
  3. A box with available wireless connections will appear. Select CCUnwired (on campus) or CCUResNet (residence halls). Then click Connect.
  4. You are now connected to CCUnwired or CCUResNet. The network icon should look like this now (it may or may not have the exclamation mark on it, but the stairs should be filled in.)
  5. Please ensure your antivirus software and definitions are up-to-date - if they are not, come to Kearns 113 to get free antivirus software installed.
  6. Now, you may follow the steps to install SafeConnect
Directions for Windows Vista
  1. Ensure that your wireless card is installed and turned on.
  2. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, click on the Network icon (looks like two screens on top of each other).
  3. Click on Wireless connections are available.
  4. On the next screen, Select CCUnwired (on campus) or CCUResNet (residence halls). Then click Connect.
  5. You should receive a message that you successfully connected to CCUnwired. Click Close to close the window.
  6. Next, follow the directions to install SafeConnect.
