Wilson has also served as the district level coordinator for National History Day and is a member of the district Student Learning Outcome advisory team. She has also presented at the S.C. Middle School Conference, the S.C. Council for the Social Studies, and to the Clover School District.

Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Courtney Wilson currently lives in Andrews, South Carolina, with her husband and 4-year-old daughter. Wilson earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Winthrop University. She currently teaches eighth-grade social studies at Georgetown Middle School, where she has served as the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports chairperson, a mentor teacher and a teacher liaison on the GMS School Improvement Council. Wilson was the school’s Teacher of the Year for the 2012-2013 academic year. She has also served as the district level coordinator for National History Day and is a member of the district Student Learning Outcome advisory team. She has also presented at the S.C. Middle School Conference, the S.C. Council for the Social Studies, and to the Clover School District.  Currently, Wilson is the regional director for the lower coastal region of the South Carolina Association for Middle Level Educators. After graduating from Coastal Carolina University, Wilson hopes to be hired as an administrator at a middle school or high school.
