Memberships and Partnerships

Coastal Carolina University is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and has earned a silver rating for the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS).

 

Coastal Carolina University, PalmettoPride and the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) partnered in association with Take Action SC Environmental Education to provide a program that informs, inspires and empowers students and teachers to protect and preserve the environment.

  


 Performance & Recognition

STARS SilverCoastal Carolina University has earned a STARS Silver rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, is the most widely-recognized and comprehensive self-assessment tool used by higher education institutions to measure their sustainability progress.
