About Meredith Canady
Prior to her appointment as director of University Compliance, Meredith Canady served as deputy compliance officer for five years. Previously, she worked in the Office of University Counsel as an assistant to the chief compliance officer and associate counsel.
She has completed training as a Title IX Coordinator through the National Association on College and University Attorneys (NACUA), as well as for the Campus Accountability and Safety Act, the Survivor Outreach and Support Act, and the Hold Accountable and Lend Transparency Act.
She earned her juris doctorate from Charleston School of Law in Charleston, S.C., in 2014, and is a member of the South Carolina Bar. A Coastal Carolina University alumna, she earned baccalaureate degrees in political science and in communication in 2006.
