Biography
Dr. Dale Cox is a researcher, performer, and teacher of CCM and Musical Theatre singing. She comes to CCU from the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy in the UAE.
Her PHD research, In the Room Where it Happens: Teaching Musical Theatre and Contemporary and Commercial (CCM) Singing, examined the intersection of CCM and musical theatre singing practice and power dynamics in the field of voice pedagogy. This research is the subject of an upcoming publication with Routledge. She has presented masterclasses and research at The Voice Foundation, MTEA, NATS, Classical Singer Convention, ANATS and numerous universities internationally. Students have worked in industry throughout Australia, Asia, the UK, and USA.
