Upon meeting Christy Salinari, you will be immediately captivated by her outgoing and witty personality. A political science and history double major from Myrtle Beach, the cheerful sophomore leaves no question that she enjoys CCU, or for that matter, life in general.

Christy chose to become a Chanticleer because when touring other universities she couldn’t find an institution that presented a strong enough case for her to leave the “home away from home” that awaited at Coastal. Once settled, it didn’t take long for Christy to make her mark on campus. As her first year ended, she was recognized with the Department of Political Science’s Outstanding Freshman of the Year honor. Consider it the first of many achievements Christy hopes to earn as she sets her sights on a career in law.

Noting that Coastal has given her “a really nice environment” to attain her undergraduate degree, Christy hopes to enter law school after she graduates in 2020. If all goes according to plan and she becomes an attorney, Christy says she wants to practice law right here in South Carolina.   A member of Alpha Delta Pi, she looks to continue to master the perfect balance between academic pursuits and social activities as she navigates through her college career. We wish Christy the best of luck.

Christy is studying political science and history
Christy says that Kimberly Hale, Ph.D., is her favorite professor.
