During a special meeting of the Coastal Carolina University board of trustees, the board announced the continuation of the University’s on-campus indoor mask mandate. This applies to all spaces across campus except for private offices and assigned residential rooms, suites, and apartments. An exception to the mask requirement will also apply for those who are actively eating inside a campus dining facility.

A board vote was not required to continue the mask mandate. The board said it is encouraged by the fact that COVID-19 cases on campus have declined, while the number of vaccinated students, faculty, and staff has increased.
