CCU to hold Great Decisions in Foreign Policy lecture series

Coastal Carolina University’s Edgar Dyer Institute for Leadership and Public Policy, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and Center for Global Engagement will host the Great Decisions in Foreign Policy Lecture Series each Saturday in February 2023. The lectures, which are free and open to the public, will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. in CCU’s Clay D. Brittain Jr. Hall, room 112.

The series is the oldest and largest grassroots world affairs educational program of its kind. Each lecture is an opportunity to learn, discuss, and debate international affairs, national security, and United States foreign policy with a leading expert.

Following are the lecture series’ dates, topics, and speakers:

Feb. 4

Iran at a Crossroads – Suheir Daoud, Ph.D., professor, CCU Department of Political Science

Feb. 11

China and the United States – Min Ye, Ph.D., professor, CCU Department of Political Science

Feb. 18

Politics in Latin America – Rick Kilroy, Ph.D., professor, CCU Department of Political Science

Feb. 25

War Crimes – Thomas Nachbar, J.D., professor, University of Virginia Law School and U.S. Army Judge Advocate General School
