President Benson a leader in higher education

CCU President Michael T. Benson continues to exemplify service, scholarship, and teaching in higher education. He was appointed to the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) Council of Presidents, effective July 1, 2023. The council leverages the experience, perspectives, and insights of its members with active leadership roles for the development of AGB expertise designed to strengthen strategic board governance across higher education.

He also has been named board chair-elect of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the national leadership honor society. Benson, who began his term on the ODK board of trustees in July 2021, will become board chair on July 1, 2024. ODK has more than 300 circles of record at colleges and universities across the United States.
