Welcome New Faculty

The Office of Professional Development, welcomes you to Coastal Carolina University. As your faculty development center, we are here to help you transition into your faculty role at CCU, and to provide professional development throughout your career related to teaching, research and service. The Office of Professional Development provides the following orientations and sessions for new faculty. The orientations are designed to introduce you to Coastal Carolina University and provide you with information and resources on campus that will contribute to your success and the success of your students.

New Faculty Orientation Fall 2022

New Faculty Orientation for all full-time faculty on Tuesday and Wednesday August 16 & 17, 2022.

The New Faculty Orientation (NFO), hosted by the Office of Professional Development, is open to all newly hired, full-time faculty. NFO is designed to launch careers of new faculty by introducing you to CCU. Highlights include networking with new colleagues, University Convocation, General Faculty Meeting, Q&A with the president and provost, faculty panel, new faculty class picture, and the Welcome Back to campus EXPO fair.

New Teaching Associate (TAO) Orientation on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Welcome to Coastal Carolina University. The New Teaching Associate Orientation, hosted by the Office of Professional Development, is open to all newly hired, part-time faculty. At CCU, part-time faculty are referred to as Teaching Associates. The orientation is designed for new associate faculty an introduction to CCU. Highlights include networking with new colleagues, presentations by key offices on campus, lunch, and a Q&A session.
