Things New Faculty Need to Know

Username and Password

The sooner you get your username and password, the easier things are when you arrive on campus so you can plan for the academic year.

Your username and password allow you to access CCU online information:

  • MyCCU (customizable personal dashboard to access CCU services and resources)
  • Moodle (CCU’s course management system)
  • Microsoft Office 365 to access CCU email remotely and to access latest versions of Office
  • Mandatory Training sessions (to be completed within 30 days of the initial notice)
  • and more

In order to get your Username and Password, you need to return the signed offer letter (letter from the Provost) along with the Computer Usage Form and ID Summary/Emergency Data Form.  Once these documents are received by HREO, it will take up to 48 hours to then generate your username and password.  Please contact Shri Chabba at 843-349-2032 in our ITS department for your username/temporary password. You will then go to http://www.coastal.edu/search/setup to set up your account. (HINT: Please give HREO a personal email address to use. Many universities will shut down an email account once you have resigned/graduated. A personal email allows us and HREO to send you the information you need directly to you.)
