Intramural Sports Overview

The Intramural Sports Program offers a variety of sports, tournaments, and events. Each one of these Intramural Sports is played at one of the University Recreation facilities and features offerings in different leagues and then into smaller divisions.

Regular Season & Playoffs

All sports typically feature a three- to five-week regular season and teams typically play on the same day and time throughout the entire regular season. The season is followed by a single-elimination playoff. Qualification for playoffs will vary by sport, but all playoff qualifications require teams to hold a 3.0 sportsmanship rating. Teams will be ranked for the playoffs by record, point differential, and sportsmanship.

Leagues & Divisions

Most sports offer Men's, Women's, Greek, and CoRec leagues. Men's and Women's Leagues may offer a Pro or a Rookie league. Pro leagues will be more competitive in nature, whereas Rookie leagues will be more recreational. Teams competing in Greek leagues must use their full student organization name. CoRec Leagues are teams that compete with an equal number of males & females.

Rosters

Rosters should be completely filled out online before the day of the game. In order for rosters to be considered complete, they must contain the minimum number of participants required for that sport and the appropriate gender breakdown must be followed for CoRec activities. Failure to be on a roster may result in that team forfeiting the game. All roster additions are processed through IMLeagues.

Participants may compete on a Pro or a Rookie league team as well as a CoRec team. This means a player may compete on a maximum of two different teams per sport, assuming each team is in a different league. Players may not change teams once any portion of a game has been played.
