CCU Student Benevolence Funds

Through many generous donors, Coastal Carolina University is able to offer a number of opportunities for benevolence funding for students and their families experiencing hardships. There are various funds established that may meet specific needs. Eligibility and appropriate funding source is determined by the Dean of Students (or his/her designee) and the appropriate committee for each fund.

Student Benevolence fund awards are considered student aid, and may have an impact on a student’s financial aid for the year in which they are received. Students can request up to $500. The amount may fluctuate based on the number of students in need and funding available. Awards may be made for lesser amounts, depending on the situations and funding.

Please note that Benevolence Funds will not cover normal and anticipated academic or personal everyday expenses (i.e., tuition, balances, fees, health insurance, books, rent). Please consult with Financial Aid and Scholarships to review your aid package and ask about additional aid options.
