As a research assistant in the Department of Psychology at Coastal Carolina University, Boytos co-authored one published journal article and has two others submitted for publication, and she is also a co-author of four professional research conference presentations.

Abby Boytos, a native of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in English. She has served as secretary and vice president for Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology. As a research assistant in the Department of Psychology at Coastal Carolina University, she co-authored one published journal article and has two others submitted for publication, and she is also a co-author of four professional research conference presentations. Boytos’ senior thesis was designed to investigate the effects of religion and career priming on problem solving persistence among college students. After graduating from CCU, she plans to attend graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and study positive psychology and resilience.
