Lazar represented Coastal Carolina at the S.C. Intercollegiate Honor Band for four consecutive years. She also represented CCU on an international level by winning one of three spots in the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) International Youth Wind Orchestra and performing at the WASBE International Conference in San Jose, California, in July 2015.

Allysha Lazar is a music performance major from Raleigh, North Carolina. She has served four years as head chair of music for Sigma Sigma Sigma and served in leadership positions in several music ensembles at Coastal Carolina University. Lazar has participated in symphonic band, wind ensemble, jazz band, marching band, pep band, low brass ensemble, trombone choir, student brass quintet, brass ensemble and POP 101. She represented Coastal Carolina at the S.C. Intercollegiate Honor Band for four consecutive years. She also represented CCU on an international level by winning one of three spots in the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) International Youth Wind Orchestra and performing at the WASBE International Conference in San Jose, California, in July 2015. She has consistently been named to the Dean’s List and President’s List in her time at Coastal Carolina, and is a recipient of several scholarships and stipends, including the Music Performance Award, the Honor Band Festival Scholarship and the University Scholar Award. After graduation, Lazar will attend graduate school to earn her master’s degree in music performance.
