Englehart has served as the president of Chroma, CCU’s student organization for art and graphic design; the art director of the award-winning features magazine Tempo; and the team leader of the first Carolina Design Clash, a multi-team graphic design competition during which East Carolina University and Coastal Carolina University compete to create the best design work.

Emily Englehart was born in Columbus, Ohio. As a child, she was interested in all aspects of the visual arts. This love of art brought her to Coastal Carolina University to study graphic design in the Department of Visual Arts. She has served as the president of Chroma, CCU’s student organization for art and graphic design; the art director of the award-winning features magazine Tempo; and the team leader of the first Carolina Design Clash, a multi-team graphic design competition during which East Carolina University and Coastal Carolina University compete to create the best design work. Englehart was also a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity and was named to the Dean’s List multiple times. Englehart plans to work professionally in the design industry after graduating from CCU.
