Elizabeth (Liz) Winn is from High Point, NC, and attended East Carolina University for her undergraduate studies. During her time at ECU, Winn was heavily involved in sorority life and continues to support the Alpha Delta Pi organization by advising the Theta Beta chapter here at CCU. Winn graduated from ECU with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in May 2012. Following graduation, Winn’s first job was as a Case Management Coordinator at Martin General Hospital in Williamston, NC. In 2013, Winn pivoted from the social work field and started her higher education journey at High Point University in High Point, NC where she served as a Resident Director in the Office of Student Life until July 2017. Winn continued her work in housing where she was employed as the Housing Services Coordinator at CCU until early 2021. Winn joined the University Advising staff in February of that year and serves primarily as an Academic Advisor for Transfer Students, but her portfolio also includes other special populations such as freshman students in the CEaL and CINO Accelerate programs and non-transfer students from Gupta College of Science, Spadoni College of Education, and Conway Medical Center College of Health and Human Performance.

Winn loves working with college students and finds passion in being a resource for students in many different aspects of their lives, including both academically and personally.

Winn enjoys spending her time with her husband, family, and friends and can often be found cheering on the Chanticleer football team. Winn also looks forward to attending a few Miami Dolphins home games every season.
