Biography
Born and raised in Southern Vermont, Betsy was drawn to the warmer weather and beautiful beaches of the Grand Strand. Having chosen to complete her undergraduate degree at CCU and receiving a bachelor's degree in biology in 2012, she then went on to pursue a local career in property management. However, she found herself missing the educational community and campus lifestyle, and is proud to have accepted a position in the Department of Chemistry as an administrative specialist.
Having now lived in the Conway area for 14+ years, Betsy enjoys adventuring through the many natural reserves and parks with her two dogs, Scooter and Leia. She is an avid fan of fantasy including a few favorites like the well-known works of Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, J. K. Rowling, and Cassandra Clare.
Betsy strives to encourage positive energy by listening to the uplifting music created by Reggae Artists Stick Figure, The Elovaters, Rebelution, Fortunate Youth, and Tree House, a local North Myrtle Beach artist. She could not ask for more than her good friends and family, a good book, some good music, and her two dogs and three cats.
