iPad Program Support
The iPad Program is available for instructional faculty and staff at Coastal Carolina University. This program is intended to help instructional faculty and staff utilize the iPad Program for their teaching and research needs. Instructional faculty and staff may complete the iPad Request Form managed by The Kimbel Library & Bryan Information Commons. Resources for training and support for iPad apps for instructional use are provided by the Coastal Office of Online Learning.
Instructional faculty or staff who need assistance with warranty and/or accidental damage for an Apple iPad, Apple Pencil, or Apple-branded iPad Keyboard, please review the details and follow the process outlined below.
Warranty or Accidental Damage Support
Instructional faculty and staff may request warranty or accidental damage support by submitting an online support request to the ITS Service Center. Instructional faculty and staff are not permitted to take the Apple iPad and devices to an Apple support center for warranty or accidental damage claims.
- Apple Care Coverage is available under Accidental Damage Coverage. Four years of Apple Care+ is included with the iPad which covers two (2) incidents of accidental damage/year. Service fees apply to each accidental damage incident. This fee will be paid out of the departmental budget from which the faculty or instructional staff member resides.
- The following service fees apply to each Service Event for Apple for Accidental Damage:
- iPad: $49 + tax
- iPad Input Device:
Apple Pencil: $29 + tax
Apple-branded iPad keyboard: $29 + tax
- Loss and theft are not covered under AppleCare+. Theft or loss must be reported immediately to ITS and the CCU Public Safety Office.
- Once a warranty or accidental damage claim is processed by the ITS Service Center with Apple, another Apple iPad and/or peripherals/devices replacement will be available within 2-3 business days or (if available) a new device may be provided as an immediate replacement through Kimbel Library. The status will be communicated through your online support request.
