FILM
The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies presents a screening of the Academy Award-winning "Being There" (1980) at 5 p.m. in the Coastal Theater, Lib Jackson Student Union (Room A110). Following the screening, Michael Ruse, associate professor in CCU's Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, leads a discussion on the nature of irony and the political context of the film as well as a comparison to contemporary politics.

MUSIC
The CCU Percussion Ensemble, directed by Jesse Willis, CCU associate professor in the Department of Music, performs an eclectic array of music for percussion instruments at 7:30 p.m. in the Wheelwright Auditorium. The ensemble's past repertoire includes historic works by John Cage, Edgard Varese and Steve Reich, plus recent works by composers such as David Maslanka, David Gillingham, Tobias Borgstrom and John Psathas.

The Department of Theatre presents Thornton Wilder's 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Our Town" at 7:30 p.m. in Edwards Theatre. "Our Town" tells the story of a small town that represents every town the world over. Narrated by the "Stage Manager," the play follows the Gibbs and the Webb families, resident of Grover's Corners, N.H., through 12 years of life changes.

"Our Town" tells the story of a small town that represents every town the world over. Narrated by the "Stage Manager," the play follows the Gibbs and the Webb families, resident of Grover's Corners, N.H., through 12 years of life changes.

MUSIC
The CCU Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Garrett Griffin, assistant professor and director of athletic bands in the Department of Music, performs classic pieces for wind band at 7:30 p.m. in the Wheelwright Auditorium. The ensemble performs overtures, suites and marches by John Phillip Sousa and other representative American composers. The program also includes an annual musical tribute and salute to military veterans in honor of Veterans Day.

Kate Kretz's "#Brute" exhibit is on display at the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery on campus through Nov. 28. It is free and open to the public and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
