The mission of the Office of Clinical Experiences and Educator Licensure is to secure quality field experiences and internship placements for teacher candidates in the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences, in preparation for their roles as future educators and to guide students through the licensure process.

Field experiences are the application side of preparation for teacher certification. Teacher candidates advance through three levels of field experiences, each becoming more intense. Field experiences provide actual settings in which to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to help all students learn. Our field experiences are diverse and provide interaction with students in a variety of settings.
The Office of Clinical Experiences and Educator Licensure is specifically responsible for providing approximately 1,000 field and student teaching placements, in partnership with area school districts each year. We also support approximately 175 students through the state licensing process each year.
