Academic Probation - Wall College Students Only
The Wall Center for Excellence is available to assist students who are in jeopardy of receiving grades that may drop their cumulative GPA below the required 2.0 or who are currently on academic probation. Students whose cumulative GPA drops below the required 2.0 may be placed on academic probation at the end of the semester. Our goal is to help students identify any issues that have led to this situation. Together we can take proactive steps to improve your academic standing and avoid any future academic issues.
Students are placed on academic probation when the level of their academic performance is endangering their opportunity to earn a degree from the University. If students are placed on probationary status at the end of the semester, they must raise their GPA to a satisfactory 2.0 GPA by the end of the next semester. Students that fail to meet this requirement risk being placed on academic suspension, which may require separation from the university for the following year. The Wall Center of Excellence offers academic support services and professional development workshops. We may also be able to guide you to other campus resources such as the Learning Assistance Center and available tutors.
We encourage you to seek assistance early, and we are available to give you that needed push or advice to move you toward achieving your academic goals and objectives. Please contact your academic adviser for questions and/or guidance. If you do not know who your academic adviser is, you can visit WebAdvisor for that information.
