Daniel Hobbs

Biography
Daniel Hobbs is a professor of scenic, projection, and costume design, working most recently as instructor of scenic design at the University of South Florida. He is excited to return this summer for his seventh season with the Ohio Light Opera, designing for Cinderella, The Student Prince, and The Mock Marriage as well as heading the properties department for the full season. Past shows with OLO include recent titles such as Into the Woods, Perchance to Dream, and Anything Goes. His recent regional credits include L’Amant Anonymt in Rochester, NY; She Kills Monsters in Ashland, OH; and Ordinary Days in Tampa, FL. Hobbs earned his Bachelors of Arts in Theatre from the University of Northern Alabama and his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Michigan State University. He has previously taught at San Diego State University, University of South Florida, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, College of Wooster, and Ashland University.
