Denise Williams has been teaching since 2004. She has been a CCU faculty member since 2009; she is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Her teaching interests include college algebra, trigonometry, and contemporary math. While at CCU, she was in the top three for Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013, and she was awarded Teacher of the Year for 2013-2014.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2001 and a Master of Arts in mathematics education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2006.
In her free time, she enjoys watching college basketball, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
