Biography:
Kevin McCarey joined Coastal Carolina University in Fall 2023.
McCarey attended CCU for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. After receiving his M.A.T. degree in 2017, he began teaching at Carolina Forest High School. While at Carolina Forest, he taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 3, and Probability and Statistics. He also was an assistant coach for the ultimate frisbee team and sponsor of the school’s chapter of Mu Alpha Theta. After teaching at the high school for six years, he transitioned into higher education by returning to his alma mater as a lecturer.
MCarey's interests include disc golf, computer science, video games, board games, and spending time with family.
