The Residential Award Category recognizes a Community Development Corporation (CDC) or Developer that has made a demonstrable and measurable impact on the quality of life in the community it serves by enhancing quality of life through preservation and/or creation of housing, commercial corridor development, engaging residents, and executing effective and innovative approaches to neighborhood revitalization.

WINNER: Living Dunes at the Grande Dunes
Living Dunes is a project of Living Beach, LLC a local development company focused on community revitalization, who partnered with custom home builder and real estate brokerage CRG Companies to exclusively handle sales and construction of the 213 unit community situated on a 52 acre tract of land in the Grand Dunes.

Located in the Grande Dunes section of Myrtle Beach, Living Dunes is a Lowcountry style neighborhood that will include over 200 homes, all of which will be HERS rated for energy efficiency and include smart home technology. The community goes beyond code required standards in construction and was the first Myrtle Beach neighborhood to include Icynene Spray Foam Insulation, provide Gigabit Internet service and use GAF Designer Shingles as a standard. The homes feature many additional top rated products and building practices including 2x6 exterior walls and viwinco low-e double hung impact resistant windows.
Outside of the quality construction, the neighborhood boasts 10 acres of lakes and on-site amenities designed to encourage an active lifestyle. The clubhouse and pool serves as the center of the neighborhood with an adjacent meditation garden and outdoor fireplace all connected by a lakefront boardwalk with cantilever decks and an eight mile system of walkways and nature trails. Living Dunes homes exclusively feature CRG Companies construction and include a variety of single-family homes and townhomes, starting in the $400s.
