Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies
The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies offers a major with two possible concentrations: Hispanic Studies and Multiple Languages. In addition, students can minor in French, German, or Spanish and can take courses in Italian and Russian.

The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies prepares you to be a global citizen by offering coursework, co-curricular programs and study abroad opportunities that result in language proficiency as well as critical awareness of cultures. Becoming proficient in other languages and cultures allows you to perceive the world from a different linguistic and cultural framework. The department fosters and promotes respect for cultural and intellectual diversity by nurturing your ability to communicate and interact with all the world's people.
