Anthropology and Geography
Bachelor of Arts
The interdisciplinary degree in anthropology and geography brings together the study of cultural and physical worlds to help us understand how humans and environments intersect.
What You'll Study
Beginning with our foundational courses in world regional geography, cultural anthropology, and human evolution, the BA in anthropology and geography includes in-depth considerations of the way in which we as humans interact with the world around us, past and present. The program promotes effective writing, critical thinking, and fundamental research skills. Courses provide an integrated perspective that includes the technological and analytical tools needed for careers in cultural heritage, resource management, sustainability, planning, and globalization.
Experiences Beyond the Classroom
For students of anthropology and geography, the entire world is a classroom. Through our regional and international partnerships, programs, and field schools, you will get the hands-on experience that will help you succeed after graduation. Opportunities include archaeological field schools in the U.S. and Kenya, training in virtual heritage with cutting-edge 3D technologies, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) hands-on courses, and ethnographic research in local communities.
