Biography
Karyn Tomczak performed professionally in the United States and internationally for over 15 years in shows such as 42nd Street, Sophisticated Ladies, Will Rogers Follies, and Funny Girl. She was seen on PBS in Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall, which was choreographed by Tony-award winner, Susan Stroman. She also performed as a Radio City Rockette for six and a half years. Regionally, Tomczak’s choreographic credits include 42nd Street, The Drowsy Chaperone, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Me and My Girl, Grease, and A Chorus Line. Last year, she received a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Nomination for her choreography for Spring Awakening. For over 20 years Ms. Tomczak has been dedicated to dance education and conducts master classes in precision dance around the U.S. She was awarded Dance Teacher Magazine’s 2014 Dance Teacher Award in Higher Education.
