Coastal Carolina University’s Grant Center for Real Estate and Economic Development will hold its 21st annual Economic Growth and Real Estate Summit on Oct. 5, 2018, at the Marina Inn in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The half-day event will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 12:30 p.m. The cost for the Oct. 5 event is $50, which includes a full breakfast buffet and refreshment break.

“We are lining up a great program of speakers in addition to our own Dr. Rob Salvino,” said Gary Loftus, director of the Grant Center for Real Estate and Economic Development. “We welcome anyone interested in economic growth or real estate to attend our biggest summit yet to learn about the exciting direction we are headed.” Salvino is a professor of economics at CCU and the associate director of the Grant Center.

Previous speakers have included Lawrence Yun, chief economist and senior vice president of the National Association of Realtors, along with Dan Mitchell, co-founder of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity and former Senior Fellow of the CATO Institute.

The winners of Coastal Carolina University’s second Real Estate Awards will also be recognized at the event. These awards, made possible through a gift from the Tony and Carrie Grant Fund, celebrate excellence in residential, resort, commercial, and government/public/nonprofit sectors.

Previous winners include Carolina Forest Towne Centre, Champions Village, Burroughs & Chapin, and the HGTC Culinary Arts Building. New to this year’s summit will be an additional category that recognizes restaurants.
