New date announced for CCU's annual Growth Summit

December 19, 2018

Conway, SC - Coastal Carolina University’s Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics will hold its 21st annual Economic Growth and Real Estate Summit on March 1, 2019, at the Marina Inn in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 5, 2018, but was rescheduled for the spring of 2019 due to Hurricane Florence’s impacts on the Grand Strand.

The half-day event will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 12:30 p.m. The cost for the event is $50, which includes a full breakfast buffet and refreshment break.

The summit provides a welcoming forum for leaders from the private and public sectors to discuss key issues impacting their organizations, meet potential new clients and partners, and share ideas for a stronger economy.

Previous speakers have included Lawrence Yun, chief economist and senior vice president of the National Association of Realtors, along with Dan Mitchell, co-founder of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity and former Senior Fellow of the CATO Institute.

This year, the summit will also host a career fair. Employers seeking new talent are encouraged to take advantage of a limited number of booth spaces to promote opportunities to the attendees, including Coastal Carolina University’s Wall Fellows, Grant Scholars, CoBE Fellows, Honors College fellows, graduate students, and other motivated professionals ready to solidify their next career moves.
