As an international student or scholar in the United States, you must follow immigration regulations to ensure that you “maintain your immigration status.” Successfully maintaining your status will ensure that you legally accomplish your academic and professional goals in the United States. The Center for Global Engagement will help you understand your duties, but ultimately you are responsible for ensuring you comply with all immigration requirements and maintain your status.
