Blood Drives

UPCOMING BLOOD DRIVE DATES:

Location: Lib Jackson Student Union Parking Lot (Spadoni Park Circle) Fall 2023

SEPTEMBER 20 - AMERICAN RED CROSS, 11am-4pm

SEPTEMBER 28 - THE BLOOD CONNECTION, 11am-4pm

OCTOBER 26 - THE AMERICAN RED CROSS 11am-4pm

NOVEMBER 29 - THE BLOOD CONNECTION 10am-4pm

In partnership with the American Red Cross and The Blood Connection, we co-sponsor a monthly blood drive in front of the Lib Jackson Student Union. We recommend to all potential donors to have plenty of water and a good meal prior to donating.  We encourage potential donors to schedule an appointment at least 48 hours in advance of the blood drive; however, it is not a requirement. To schedule an appointment with the American Red Cross, visit https://www.redcrossblood.org. To schedule an appointment with The Blood Connection visit: https://thebloodconnection.org

We welcome community members to participate in the blood drives. Visitor parking passes are free and available to off-campus guests. You may pick up a visitors pass on the day of the blood drive at CCU's Public Safety office located at 255 University Blvd., Conway, SC 29526. You may also call ahead to Public Safety at 843-349-2177 or call the Civic Engagement office to have it ready beforehand.

Visitors may park with the visitor's pass with the exception of faculty/staff spaces or reserved spaces. There is some visitor parking available at Baxley Hall located on E. Chanticleer Blvd. across from the Lib Jackson Student Union. Our campus parking map will help you with navigating to the Lib Jackson Student Union.

If you are interested in volunteering with the blood drvies, please contact Leah Levert, Coordinator for Civic and community Engagement, by email at lnlevert@coastal.edu, or by phone at 843-349-4003.

In case of inclement weather, the check-in for blood drives will move inside the Lib Jackson Student Union.

Setting the Table

Setting the Table is Coastal Carolina University's bi-annual donation held in the fall and spring semesters. Setting the Table was started by a senior capstone student in Fall 2013. In recent semesters, Civic Engagement has donated baskets from Setting the Table to Catholic Charities–Pee Dee.
