Graduate Programs in Education

Graduate programs in education include Master of Arts in TeachingM.Ed. Educational Leadership, Education Specialist in Educational Leadership, M.Ed. in Instructional Technology, Educational Specialist in Instructional TechnologyM.Ed. in Special Education and M.Ed. in Language, Literacy and Culture. Coursework is offered that is required to apply for Literacy Teacher, Literacy Coach, and Special Education Add-on Certifications. The Ph.D. in Education is an advanced graduate program in the Spadoni College of Education. This program will involve students in developing the breadth and depth of understandings, skills, and dispositions through study in one of three specialization areas (Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment).

Coastal Carolina University also offers an Advanced Placement BC Calculus Institute. The AP Institute is endorsed by the College Board and supported by the South Carolina Department of Education. Successful completion of the institute will award three graduate hours credit and AP endorsement. Course instruction will be provided by Coastal Carolina University faculty and an Horry County AP Master teacher.
