First-Year Housing Scholarship

The HTC Honors College is happy to provide the opportunity for first-year Honors students living in the Honors Residence Hall to apply for housing assistance. Awards will be between $250 and $1000, based on financial need.

Note: After the 2021/22 academic year, Honors housing will be optional and not required of first-year Honors students. Therefore, the First-Year Housing Scholarship for Honors housing will be discontinued after this academic year.

Honors Students who live on campus are required to live in the Honors Residence Hall, unless they live in another living/learning community on campus. To assist our first-year students who have financial need, the we have established the HTC Honors College First-Year Housing Scholarship, to help defray the cost of living in the Chanticleer Residence Hall.

In May, incoming students who have made housing deposits will be evaluated by the Financial Aid office. Students who have a FAFSA Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of less than $10,000 will be invited to apply for the scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded based on the unmet financial need of each student and the amount of scholarship funding available.
