Reimagining Talent: The Business Value of Looking Beyond Stigma

Kelly earned her B.S. in Business Management from CCU in 2009, launching a successful career in food service and customer service. In 2019, her journey took an unexpected turn as she entered recovery from Opiate Use Disorder, sparking a passion for community impact and a career shift. 

Returning to CCU for an MBA with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration, Kelly completed her degree in August 2022, leading her to a fulfilling role at the Eastern Carolina Housing Organization (ECHO). In her position, she combines her established business skills with new ventures like social media marketing, fundraising, and presenting at national conferences. 

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys state park visits, beach outings, and quality time with her significant other, Corgi, and two cats.
