Sarah Lyles 

Sarah Lyles has been with Palmetto Pride since 2002, and is now the executive director. Prior to this role, she served as the Community Outreach Program Manager and state leader for Keep South Carolina Beautiful. Before her time at PalmettoPride, she was a communications associate with the United Way of Greenville County and an event coordinator with SC Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. She serves on the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Solid Waste Advisory Council. Her educational background consists of a B.A in English a M.A in Mass Communication and Media Studies from the University of South Carolina. She is passionate about program and community development as well as governmental relations. The tracking of litter and illegal dumping sites is a main priority of Palmetto Pride, and these continued efforts are aimed to reduced the overall pollution in the area. To date, PalmettoPride has been able to remove close to 90 million pounds of litter from roads and natural areas, and the organization under Lyles' leadership continues to grow.
