"Honestly, my favorite part of making the decision to come to CCU was the school. Arriving to CCU from the sunny island of Aruba, CCU felt like home. I enjoyed going to the beach and spending time outdoors. Coastal is an amazing university filled with wonderful people. Never in my life have I gotten professors that motivate me so much. They are really dedicated on our future as students. What I also admired was that they don’t treat me any differently because I am an international student. They always allow you the chance to go to their office and ask them about any questions that you have."

Experiences on Campus

"Living on campus was the most challenging part for me mostly because back home, I am used to having a room all to myself. It was definitely an experience learning to live with roommates. It was really hard for me at first, but after a few months, I realized that it was nice to have someone to talk to whenever I needed help. Also, by living on campus you are not that far from your classes or places to eat which is always a good thing."

"Sometimes it takes time to adjust, but you just have to learn to be patient and wait for it and still do your best."
